Join ASISTA for a deep-dive discussion on waivers of inadmissibility in U visa cases. Congress created the U nonimmigrant visa to protect victims of qualifying crimes who have suffered substantial mental or physical abuse due to the crime and are willing to help law enforcement in the investigation or prosecution of the criminal activity. However, petitioners must either be admissible or obtain a waiver of inadmissibility. In this webinar, we will discuss  common issues affecting waivers, including the use of INA § 212(d)(3) and § 212(d)(14) and USCIS’s exercise of discretion.

Speakers:

Amy Cheung, Senior Legal Counsel, ASISTA.

Lia Ocasio, Staff Attorney, ASISTA.

Note: Approved for 1 hr. Texas CLE credit.
