Join ASISTA for a review of recent developments in federal court litigation affecting immigrant survivors of domestic and sexual violence, human trafficking, and other crimes. With the rescission of the victim-centered approach and rise of enforcement actions against immigrant survivors with U, T, and VAWA petitions pending, 2025 has been a year in which practitioners have needed to skill up and include federal litigation as an integral part of representing immigrant survivors. In this webinar, we will review recent federal court decisions and arguments made on behalf of survivors who are in immigration enforcement proceedings, and discuss the remaining protections for immigrant survivors facing detention and removal.

Speakers:

  • Cristina Velez, Legal & Policy Director, ASISTA
  • Kelly Byrne, Staff Attorney, ASISTA

Note: Approved for 1 TX MCLE credit hour.
